Outdoor Education for 9-14 year olds

    Immersed in nature's classroom

    The Wilderfox ethos focuses on

    • Developing our outdoor understanding
    • Connecting with natural surroundings
    • Exploring natural resources
    • Learning fun, practical, outdoor skills

The 9-14 age group is a crucial time for a young person as they transition into becoming a young adult. With this in mind, our outdoor education sessions help to develop their confidence and maturity by encouraging the children to:

    • Learn independently and as part of a team
    • Share ideas and thoughts with the group
    • Tidy up after themselves and others
    • Try new things and not be afraid to fail
    • Develop and build on existing social skills

We cover a multitude of topics and often explore new and exciting activities as a group.  The sessions are all ability led but at no time will your child be expected to do a task that they do not feel comfortable with.

Our groups are run within bubbles as much as possible.

Once you are in with a group you can stay in that group knowing that it will remain a bubble for the rest of the three week period.

Some parents drop and go but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the venue if needed and, of course, some kids might be happier to know you are close by.
